All three New Zealand SkyCity precincts and SkyCity Adelaide are officially Carbon Neutral, a key milestone in our long-term climate change journey.
We commit to sustainability in the following ways and continue to find areas for improvement.
SkyCity New Zealand:

Has achieved Carbon Neutral status, certified through an audit by Toitū Enviromark each year

Has reduced waste sent to landfill by 21% since 2015

No longer offers plastic straws, having switched to plant-based straws
SkyCity Auckland:

Has installed LED lights throughout the precinct to reduce energy usage by 95%

Composts green waste via waste management supplier Envirowaste

Has E-waste facilities on site to recycle electronic items

Has upgraded chillers to be more energy efficient
The Grand by SkyCity and SkyCity Hotel:

Take part in the Moo2Shampoo scheme, which recycles Anchor Light Proof milk bottles into packaging for hotel shower products

Use a hospitality product supplier that transforms plastic bottles into a microfibre. This material creates our luxury pillows, duvet inners, mattress protectors, quilts, and blankets. Over 90,000 plastic bottles have been recycled to date
